Casgan collaborated with Apple Healthcare and JAMF, a leader in mobile device management, to create a revolutionary patient experience at UC San Diego Health Jacobs Medical Center. The goal was to dramatically improve the patient experience by returning independent environmental control back into the hands of the patient.
The project features start-of-the-art technology innovations including customized room control over lights, thermostats, and TVs in the patient room, all from intuitive easy-to-use iPad tablets fully integrated with standard Pillow Speaker controls. Opened in 2016, the 245-bed $950 million medical and surgical specialty center is the epitome of commitment to exceptional care and the model for the patient room of the future.
